News News News!!!!

Hi the scripts page has been updated 25 August 2009.
Don't forget to check out the "Hot New Line Dance Scripts"
on the scripts page.

Line dancing is one of the U. K.'s fastest growing fun pastimes and almost everyone can learn to do it. Whatever your age or experience, there is a level that will suit your needs. Our classes range from low impact, to beginners, improvers, and finally, intermediate levels.

We also hold regular social events, with top artists and choreographers from across the U. K. and even abroad. These come in the form of standard discos, live music and dance workshops.

Social Nights

Our line dance socials are a good way of putting into practice and enjoying all the dances you have learnt at our line dances classes. We try and provide socials to suit the level that you can dance to but there is nothing to stop anyone coming to any of the socials that we hold.

Beginners and Improvers level social nights

At these socials, we play the line dances that have been taught, in the Beginners and Improvers classes.  These socials enable even the newest line dancers to be able to dance at least some of the time and even try some they have not done before. We will normally walk through the first wall or two before putting on the dance, but we try not to turn the social into a class, intermediate dances can come along, but we will only play dances taught in the beginners and improvers classes.

Intermediate level socials

At our Intermediate socials, we will play a mixture of old and new line dances, including some of the latest line dances on the line dance scene. We will not normally walk through a dance unless it is brand new or we are requested to do so.   Music will be a mixture of Country, easy listening and pop and dancers will be allowed to dance any dance they wish on the dance floor.  Improver line dancers would be able to dance some of these dances, and would be welcome.

Theme fun nights

Feel The Beat is well known for putting on fun theme nights and are always looking for new ideas. Fancy dress is always optional, but it helps, if everyone dresses the part and gets into the party mood.

Workshops                                                                                                      These can take the form of ‘Alan & Barb’s workshop’ or they can be workshops by top Choreographers from all over the UK or abroad.  Workshops can give dancers the opportunity to ‘meet in person’ the people behind their favorite dances, and also experience the way they teach dances.  All these top stars are very approachable and love to meet with you.

Live Music nights

When we book live music for socials we will only bring top quality live music acts to the Feel The Beat club. These socials are open to all line dancers, and music will be varied depending on whether the artiste is a Line Dance, or Country performer. No matter what our Feel The Beat Disco will play request music between the sets, so that everyone will have the chance to dance as much as possible.
